Waterboro Public Library’s Summer Reading Program

June 25^th – August 6^th

Reading & fun for all ages!

• Sign up at Beanstack (if you don’t already have an account) to begin earning badges as you log your summer reading! (An adult creates the account and adds family members as needed) As you earn badges, you are automatically entered into a raffle drawing for a $25.00 Amazon gift certificate. All drawings will be held at the end of the program and are for Waterboro Public Library patrons only.
  
  
• Registration packets are available at the library for children in grade 5 and under. Registration packets include Summer Reading goodies as well as Bedtime Math’s Summer of Numbers Constellation Chart and gold star stickers. Put a gold star on each day you do a Bedtime Math problem! At the end of the summer bring in your chart to receive a certificate! Waterboro Subway has donated certificates for a Free Subway Fresh Fit for Kids meal for each child. The Portland Seadogs Summer Reading Program is back and in addition to a Sea Dogs ticket for each reader, there will also be a free child admission to Aquaboggan. Parents can fill out the form at the link below:

• Children in grade 5 and under can choose a weekly prize from the Treasure Chest in the Children’s Room at the Library.
• Teens in Grade 6-12 can choose a weekly prize from the Teen Treasure Chest in the Young Adult area.
• Bookmarks and pencils are available for Teens and Adults after registration.

Additional raffles are going on inside the library. Students must submit a
book review of each award nominated book read to earn a raffle ticket to
enter a drawing for a $25.00 Amazon gift card.

For Grades K-4

The Chickadee Award – the Maine children’s choice picture book award nominees for 2022-2023.

For Grades 4-8

The Maine Student Book Award - designed to expand literary horizons of students in grades 4-8 by encouraging them to read, evaluate, and enjoy a selection of new books and to choose a statewide favorite by written ballot each spring.Raffle Prize - $25.00 Amazon Gift Card and a Maine Student Book Award Bag

For Grades 9-12

The North Star YA Award - designed to encourage young adults to read for fun. The goal is to help teens feel empowered by selecting a statewide favorite to share with the world.

Raffle Prize - $25.00 Amazon Gift Card

For Adults – complete a Bingo card diagonally or by row to earn raffle tickets for a $25.00 Amazon gift card or a Seashore Trolley Museum Day Pass with 50% off admission.
